Volkswagen registers 58% yearly growth: Taigun, Virtus, Tiguan top contributors

Volkswagen Passenger Cars India today announced its sales figures, highlighting significant growth over last year. The company has registered a growth of 58 percent in 2022 (in comparison to 2021). The company states that this result can be attributed to the response received on the Volkswagen Taigun, Volkswagen Virtus, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
Volkswagen India’s biggest highlight of 2022 was the Taigun SUV, which recently received a 5-star GNCAP rating for adult and child occupants.
The company also expanded the Volkswagen car sales network to 159 sales and 126 service touchpoints in 118 cities across the country. These included cities such as Jammu, Agra, Delhi NCR, Nagpur, Kolkata, Arcot Road, and Rajahmundry.

Volkswagen India also strengthened its pre-owned car business, Das WeltAuto (DWA), a platform for buying, selling, upgrade, and exchange. The DWA platform now has 26,000+ customers through its network of 109 DWA outlets and 25 Excellence Centres.

The Brand has witnessed many positive achievements, one of the biggest being the 5-star GNCAP on the Volkswagen Taigun,” Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said.
